Going off-road and off-grid (aka boondocking) is my long range RVing goal, but breaking down where there are no people, services or cell reception well, scares me. Therefore, dependability ranked pretty high on my tow vehicle selection criteria. My first internet searches for "Best Tow Vehicles" never mentioned the Tundra but I bought one anyway. Why? Dependability. And the tradeoff? How much stuff I could pack in my truck, truck bed and trailer.
Those of you who know me well can chuckle at the conundrum I now face because I'm close to my maximum Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Anything that comes into the Escape Pod dictates the mass of the item that has to go out. I'm learning to embrace minimalism!
